Dear Lord,
There's a young man far from home,
called to serve his nation in time of war;
sent to defend our freedom
on some distant foreign shore.
We pray You keep him safe,
we pray You keep him strong,
we pray You send him safely home ...
for he's been away so long.

The MYTD 2008 Banquet will be held, Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Tyner United Methodist Church. The vision and goal this year is to have an elegant-cotillion environment. Young ladies will be dressed in all white formal gown, elbow-length gloves, and white shoes. Young men will be in black tuxedos.
Traditionally, MYTD feature formal occasions as the centerpiece of our annual social programs. The Fundraising Banquet, is an example of formal social events held each year . Guests invited to these functions; parents, friends and other members of the Chattanooga community, are the people we care most about. Naturally, MYTD wants to make a good impression. Planning is the key to any successful event. For our 2008 Banquet, our project managers have selected a very beautiful/handsome attire from Prado Collection. Multi Cultural Youth Training and Development has just been registered for GoodSearch and GoodShop as seen in Oprah Magazine, ABC News, and The New York Times.
Starting tomorrow supporters can raise money for MYTD by using GoodSearch to search the internet!
GoodSearch.com is the search engine with a unique social mission. It’s powered by Yahoo!, so you get the same great search results, but each time you do a search, GoodSearch makes a donation to your cause! We donate 50% of advertising revenue to the nonprofits and schools selected by our users.
How does it work?
•On the GoodSearch homepage, type in “Multi Cultural Youth Training and Development”
•Search the Internet just like you normally would — the site is powered by Yahoo!, so you'll get high-quality search results.
•Fifty percent of the revenue generated from advertisers is shared with the charity, school or nonprofit organization of your choosing.
Barbara Shepherd, MYTD Advisory Board Member and member of Special Events and Fundraising committee, has once again stepped up to the challenge and accepted the roll as Project Manager for this ongoing fundraiser. The idea is based on “Your change can make a change in MYTD’s program participants’ lives.”
MYTD will have a basket at each meeting so that our volunteers, parents, and youth will be able to drop any spare change to make a “Change” in our youth. So dig deep and watch their lives evolve into the youth of tomorrow with the funding of your donations. Remember, every little bit helps!
